On Saturday, May 9, we have a wonderful opportunity to come together as a community and make a difference in the lives of those in need.
Every second Saturday in May, letter carriers across the country participate in the Stamp Out Hunger National Food Drive—the largest one-day food collection effort in the nation. Over the past 30 years, this drive has helped deliver more than 1.82 billion pounds of food to families facing hunger.
It’s easy to take part! Just place a bag of non-perishable food (canned goods, pasta, rice, etc.) next to your mailbox before your mail is delivered on Saturday May 9. If you received a special Stamp Out Hunger bag in your mailbox, feel free to use that, but any bag will do. Your letter carrier will pick it up and ensure it gets to a local food bank or pantry.
Let’s show our Hidden Hills spirit by supporting those in need. Your small gesture this Saturday will help make a big impact.
Thank you for caring and giving.
