On Thursday, April 9, our region celebrated the groundbreaking of the Las Virgenes-Malibu Council of Governments (LVMCOG) Fiber Optic Network Project, a major step forward in connectivity and regional collaboration.
The cities of Hidden Hills, Agoura Hills, Calabasas, Malibu, and Westlake Village will soon be connected by more than 38 miles of high-capacity fiber. This investment strengthens how our communities serve residents, manage traffic, and respond to emergencies.
This project will boost public safety, close connectivity gaps, and power future smart city technology, creating a stronger, more connected community for all.
In times of wildfires, earthquakes, and other emergencies, coordination across the region makes all the difference.
One region, one network, stronger together.
