Home Protection Tips

The safety and security of our residents is a top priority for the City of Hidden Hills. While our community remains a safe place to live, maintaining that level of safety requires awareness and cooperation from everyone. Taking simple, proactive steps can help deter criminal activity and support the efforts of our public safety partners.

The City encourages all residents to remain vigilant and consider the following safety practices as part of their everyday routines. These measures are intended to reduce risk, enhance neighborhood awareness, and help ensure the continued safety of our community.

Home and Property Safety Tips

We encourage all residents to remain vigilant and consider the following safety practices:

  • Keep doors and windows locked at all times, even when you are home.
  • Set your home alarm system when leaving, even for short periods.
  • Use outdoor lighting and motion-sensor lights to deter suspicious activity.
  • Do not leave valuables visible through windows.
  • Report any suspicious persons, vehicles, or activity immediately to LASD Lost Hills Station.
  • If traveling, let a trusted neighbor know and consider notifying the City or HOA security.
  • Take advantage of security patrols and consider installing cameras if you have not already done so.

Together, we can make Hidden Hills safer and more resilient.

All suspicious activity and/or crimes should be reported directly to the Sheriff’s Department by calling either 911 or the Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff’s Station directly at (818) 878-1808.

DO NOT CALL HIDDEN HILLS SECURITY UNTIL YOU HAVE FIRST CONTACTED THE SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT
.

Call 911 for emergencies requiring immediate assistance from law enforcement, fire services, or medical responders, such as crimes in progress, fires, or life-threatening situations.
