Heat Advisory

March 13, 2026

The National Weather Service (NWS) – Los Angeles is warning of well above normal temperatures across the region, with a Heat Advisory currently in effect through 8:00 PM tonight and another significant heat event expected early next week.

Temperatures are expected to remain well above normal. Forecasts indicate a rapid rise in temperatures beginning Monday, with the hottest days expected Tuesday through Friday, when highs may approach triple digits — approximately 23–35 degrees above seasonal averages.

Warm evenings may offer only limited overnight relief, increasing the risk of heat-related illness.

This stretch of heat may become one of the warmest March periods in our area since 1988.

Residents are encouraged to take precautions, stay hydrated, and check on neighbors and family members who may be more vulnerable to extreme heat.
