Weekend Heat Advisory & Safety Reminders — Through Sunday, August 2

July 31, 2026

Dear Hidden Hills Residents,

The National Weather Service has issued an Extreme Heat Warning for our area through Sunday, August 2, with daytime temperatures expected to reach the upper 90s to low 100s and warm overnight conditions.

The National Weather Service has also indicated elevated fire weather conditions through the weekend. While Hidden Hills is not currently under a Red Flag Warning, hot, dry, and occasionally breezy weather can increase the potential for vegetation fires to spread more quickly. Out of an abundance of caution, we encourage everyone to take a few simple precautions to help reduce fire risk.

Please keep the following in mind:

  • Avoid using outdoor equipment or engaging in activities that could create sparks during the hottest and windiest parts of the day.
  • Use extra care when grilling and follow all fire safety practices.
  • Avoid parking vehicles on dry grass.
  • If you notice smoke or signs of fire, please report them immediately.

The heat can also pose health risks, so we encourage residents to:

  • Never leave children or pets in parked vehicles.
  • Stay hydrated and, when possible, limit strenuous outdoor activity during the afternoon.
  • Check in on elderly neighbors, and ensure pets and livestock have access to plenty of water and shade.

Additionally, dangerous rip currents are expected at area beaches through Saturday, along with elevated surf and the possibility of minor coastal flooding around evening high tides. If you’re heading to the coast this weekend, please use extra caution and follow guidance from local lifeguards.

We’ll continue to monitor conditions and share updates if needed.

Thank you for doing your part to help keep our community safe.
