Mureau Road / Round Meadow Road Landscape Improvements – Construction Schedule and Traffic Update

June 29, 2026

Construction is now underway on the Mureau Road / Round Meadow Road Landscape and Hardscape Improvements Project. So that residents can anticipate upcoming activity, the City is making the contractor’s baseline schedule and traffic control plan available below.

Project Schedule

Notice to Proceed / Project Start June 29, 2026
Submittals, Review, and Material Procurement    June 29 – July 24, 2026
Mobilization June 29 – July 3, 2026
Demolition and Clearing July 6 – July 14, 2026
Underground Drainage Work July 15 – July 21, 2026
Concrete Construction / Hardscape Work July 22 – August 12, 2026
Irrigation Work August 13 – September 16, 2026
Electrical Work September 8 – October 2, 2026
Landscaping September 17 – October 22, 2026
Substantial Completion October 22, 2026
Punch List / Closeout October 23 – November 13, 2026

Traffic Control

Under the traffic control plan, residents can expect lane closures, bike lane closures, and signage throughout the project area. Driveway access will be available during working hours, and access for residents, businesses, and emergency vehicles will remain in place at all times.

School Traffic Considerations

The heaviest construction work — demolition, drainage, and hardscape — is scheduled to wrap up before students return from summer break. Some lane closures and construction activity will continue into the fall for irrigation, electrical, and landscaping work. City staff will coordinate with the contractor to minimize disruption during morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up periods.

Staff will continue to monitor the schedule and will provide updates if conditions change or if traffic control measures are expected to affect school-related traffic routes.
